{"id":230,"date":"2021-06-21T12:48:23","date_gmt":"2021-06-21T12:48:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/teammandalore.com\/?p=230"},"modified":"2021-06-21T12:48:23","modified_gmt":"2021-06-21T12:48:23","slug":"were-not-trying-to-brag-but-its-huge-our-team-that-is-theres-a-whole-bunch-of-us","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/marshmallowheaddesign.com\/teammandalore\/2021\/06\/21\/were-not-trying-to-brag-but-its-huge-our-team-that-is-theres-a-whole-bunch-of-us\/","title":{"rendered":"we&#8217;re not trying to brag, but it&#8217;s huge. our team, that is. there&#8217;s a whole bunch of us."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>this weekend saw a happy reunion between the northeast and south branches of team mandalore. 7 of us converged on the second eastern ohio time trial race of 2021 and even managed a few podiums. results are available at <a href=\"http:\/\/sfwtiming.com\/\">http:\/\/sfwtiming.com<\/a> and yield the following insights:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>mandalore supreme, joe lawhorn continues to crush the fixie twins with an over all time of 29:24 (25.71 mph) compared to jeff&#8217;s time of 37:57 (19.92 mph) and rae&#8217;s 40:21 (18.73 mph). the interesting news is rae seems to be gaining on jeff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-2 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\"><ul class=\"blocks-gallery-grid\"><li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\"><figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/teammandalore.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/196444395_335084778135640_7828689479012818304_n.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"231\" class=\"wp-image-231\"\/><\/figure><\/li><li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\"><figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/teammandalore.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/PXL_20210620_141929164.MP_-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"233\" data-full-url=\"https:\/\/marshmallowheaddesign.com\/teammandalore\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/PXL_20210620_141929164.MP_-scaled-1.jpg\" data-link=\"https:\/\/teammandalore.com\/?attachment_id=233\" class=\"wp-image-233\"\/><\/figure><\/li><\/ul><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>for their first time trial brian, ryan and dave all entered a very competitive field in men&#8217;s standard. no age groups or aero equipment in this category, just 11 dudes on roadbikes vomiting at the end of the course. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>brian finished an impressive 4th with a time of 31:35 (23.73 mph)<br>ryan was 7th with a time of 33:35 (22.50 mph)<br>and dave continued his new tradition of not finishing last (10th!) with a time of 43:31 (17.37 mph)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>heather came to support but did not race, which meant rae had to be the sacrificial mando for joe&#8217;s secondary run: a team effort. she reports being completely destroyed by 2 back to back 20k efforts, but at least showed some consistency, finishing 5th with joe on a 39:15 run (19.26) in the open team \/ tandem cat. joe&#8217;s a fine leader though and she&#8217;d do it again!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/teammandalore.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/131373252_484993385940195_4965873787922724079_n-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-232\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>another great day of racing and spreading the stoke. we can&#8217;t complain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>well, we COULD complain about the weather (HOT with thunderstorms), the hills (one gear!), the roadkill (why are so many skunks on rt 14?), the political yard flags that won&#8217;t go away (y&#8217;all know who you are. no one cares, get on with your life), be we&#8217;re not that kind of team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>on deck next week are time trials at the velodrome and parkside crit. or maybe we&#8217;ll just ride to the brewery!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>this weekend saw a happy reunion between the northeast and south branches of team mandalore.
